The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration yesterday announced that a low pressure area (LPA) it is monitoring inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) has a "medium" chance of developing into a tropical depression today.
According to PAGASA's 24-hour tropical cyclone formation outlook issued at 4 p.m. on June 6, the LPA was last estimated based on all available data 340 kilometers east of Virac, Catanduanes.
