RHR and DOT offer Muslim-friendly hotels

Robinsons Hotels and Resorts (RHR), the hospitality arm of Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC) and the Philippines’ largest hotel group, has partnered with the Department of Tourism (DOT) to promote Muslim-friendly accommodations across the country.

The partnership was formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) during the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) held recently in Dubai.

This collaboration aims to make all RHR properties welcoming and accessible to Muslim travelers, particularly from the Middle East.

“At Robinsons Hotels and Resorts, we are proud to partner with the Department of Tourism through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for ‘Muslim-Friendly Accommodations’,” said Barun Jolly, RHR senior vice president and business unit general manager. “This partnership reflects our support for the DOT’s vision of inclusive travel for all.”

RLC has developed a portfolio of 30 hotels in over 20 locations across the Philippines. With its nationwide presence, RHR is positioned to support this initiative by offering services and amenities that cater to the needs of Muslim travelers.

“We look forward to providing ‘Hospitality by Heart’ to all travelers as they experience the Filipino brand of service excellence at all our hotels,” added Jolly.

Jolly also highlighted the importance of holding the signing at ATM, one of the global travel industry’s most prominent events.

“There could not have been a more appropriate venue than ATM in Dubai to formalize this important agreement. We are deeply grateful to Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco and the Department of Tourism for their continued support and partnership.”

The initiative is part of RHR’s broader commitment to global hospitality standards, cultural sensitivity, and inclusive tourism. It also supports the DOT’s efforts to enhance the Philippines’ appeal to international markets, particularly the growing segment of Muslim travelers.
