Marcos keeps most Cabinet secretaries—Palace

President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. decided to keep most of his Cabinet secretaries, who tendered their courtesy resignations after conducting performance evaluation, Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin announced on Tuesday.

In his latest press briefing, Bersamin told Malacañang-based reporters that the following will continue to serve in their respective posts under the Marcos administration:

  • Francisco Tiu Laurel, Jr. – Department of Agriculture
  • Conrado Estrella III – Department of Agrarian Reform
  • Juan Edgardo ‘Sonny’ Angara – Department of Education
  • Francisco Benitez – Technical Education Skills Development Authority
  • Bienvenido Laguesma – Department of Labor and Employment
  • Rexlon Gatchalian – Department of Social Welfare and Development
  • Teodoro Herbosa – Department of Health
  • Hans Leo Cacdac – Department of Migrant Workers
  • Renato Solidum, Jr. – Department of Science and Technology
  • Maria Esperanza Christina Frasco – Department of Tourism
  • Henry Rhoel Aguda – Department of Information and Communications Technology
  • Vince Dizon – Department of Transportation
  • Manuel Bonoan – Department of Public Works and Highways
  • Juan Ponce Enrile – Chief Presidential Legal Counsel
  • Elaine Masukat – Presidential Management Staff
  • Romando Artes – Metropolitan Manila Development Authority
  • Leo Tereso Magno – Mindanao Development Authority

Bersamin also said President Marcos declined the courtesy resignations of Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Commissioner Romeo Lumagui, Jr., Presidential Adviser for Mindanao Concerns Antonio Ceriles, Bureau of Customs (BOC) Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio, and Treasurer of the Philippines Sharon Almanza.
