The Philippine National Police (PNP), in partnership with Cardinal Santos Medical Center, held a nationwide health and wellness initiative at Camp Crame on Wednesday.
The event, dubbed the LAB (Love and Virus) Program and Medical Mission, was led by PNP Chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III.
Organized by the PNP OLC Foundation, Inc., the event featured a symbolic turnover of advisory roles and medical services for police personnel and select community beneficiaries. Patricia Jane Torre was formally introduced as the incoming adviser, replacing outgoing adviser Mary Rose Marbil.
The activity also included a live national “whip around” via Zoom, with regional police offices reporting on their own simultaneous health missions. These mini-events were supported by local RCADDs, RMDUs, and OLCFI officers.
Medical services included free consultations and health lectures, with a focus on breast care and cancer awareness. Financial aid was also distributed to a number of PNP personnel with medical needs.
The event marked a growing emphasis on community service and internal well-being within the police force. A teaser for a wellness podcast, co-produced by PSMBFI and PNP OLCFI, was launched, highlighting continued health-focused initiatives.
