The Light Rail Management Corporation (LRMC) said on Thursday it will not be charging passengers for its Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1) on Independence Day (June 12), a national public holiday.
The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA), which operates Line 2 (LRT-2), also made similar arrangements as well as the Metro Rail Transit (MRT-3) under the Department of Transportation (DOTr).

The announcements were made earlier this morning on the respective social media pages of the said organizations.
The ‘Libreng Sakay’ program across all train platforms will be implemented from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
